Meet My Sister- Sister Tag

Wednesday, October 29, 2014 Sara Wallflower 14 Comments

Hello everybody!
A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion Garretty

As you may or may not know I have a younger sister Lea. She’s often annoying, we argue all the time, we have different music taste and I sometimes wish I could be an only child, but at the same time I can’t imagine living without her. And today, on October 29th, she’s celebrating her 14th birthday! For that reason, we decided to do some sort of sister tag/ answer some random questions and I must tell, writing a post with sister is a lot more fun than writing it alone.

1. How old are you both?

Lea: I’m 14 years old.
Sara: I’m 16 years old.

2. Full sisters/ half/ step?

Lea & Sara: We’re full sisters.

3. Do people ever get you mixed up?

Lea: No.
Sara: We don’t look similar at all and most people don’t even know we’re sisters.

4. What is something that annoys you about one another?

Lea: Sara always yells at me, she always corrects what I say, she doesn’t like my music taste.
Sara: I hate that she never cleans up behind; she’s quite messy for a girl, the facts that she’s lazy also annoys me a lot.

5. Do you ever argue?

Lea: Yes, we argue a lot actually.
Sara: We argue a lot about unimportant things, but we always make up after that soon.

6. What’s the best thing about one another?

Lea: She spends a lot of time with me and does fun things with me.
Sara: Lea always tells me funny stories, which mostly aren’t even that funny but she somehow manages to make them funny. If that makes sense haha.

7. If your house was burning down, and your entire family was sure to be okay, what would you save and why?

Lea: My bed, because I need something to sleep on and my cat’s stuff.
Sara: I’d save my laptop and my phone. And probably albums with my family’s photos. I’m not really emotionally attached to anything in my house, but I need my laptop and my phone, so...

8. What’s your favourite memory together?

Lea: I had loads of fun when we were about 5 and 7 years old and we were chasing frogs at the lake.
Sara: My favourite memory would be the one when we danced the yikes dance (from Ricky Dillon) in the middle of the Bovec. That happened this year actually, we’re still a bit childish haha.

9. Describe each other in one word.

Lea: Smart.
Sara: Funny.

10. What’s your favourite band?

Lea: One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer.
Sara: The Smiths and HAIM.

11. What’s your dream job?

Lea: A baker (at Carlo’s Bakery).
Sara: A lawyer.

12. What’s your favourite makeup brand?

Lea: Essence.
Sara: Max Factor.

13. If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would it be and why?

Lea & Sara: Definitely The United States of America so we could visit different states, we could go to concerts, meet our favourite YouTubers and of course go shopping to our favourite shops.

14. Who takes longer to get ready in the morning?

Sara: Lea takes much longer, even though she doesn’t apply as much makeup as me. She’s just slow.

15. Favourite season?

Lea: Summer, because of the summer holiday and winter, because I can drink tea and watch TV wrapped in a blanket.
Sara: Summer! I like summer holiday, clothes, laziness...

16. Favourite song?

Lea: Amnesia, Beside You- 5sos, Happy Little Pill- Troye Sivan, Adam’s Song- Blink 182.
Sara: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out- The Smiths.

17. Pants or dresses?

Lea: Pants, of course! I hate dresses.
Sara: Definitely pants, but in the summer I prefer dresses.

18. Favourite animal?

Lea: Cats.
Sara: I love pandas, koalas, elephants and of course cats.

19. Comedy, horror or chick- flick?

Lea: Cartoons forever haha.
Sara: I love watching horrors and then scaring my sister.

20. Favourite movie?

Lea: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Grinch, The Fault In Our Stars, The Hunger Games.
Sara: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

21. What’s your favourite TV show?

Lea: Friends, Pretty Little Liars and most of the shows on Disney.
Sara: Awkward, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries.

22. What is something weird that you eat?

Lea: I don’t eat anything weird I guess.
Sara: I like mustard on the bread a lot, I think that’s kind of weird.

23. Do you guys have anything matching?

Lea & Sara: Yes we do! Apparently our relatives think it’s cute to buy us similar things, but it’s actually not. We have the same bracelets, shorts, shirts...

A big thank you to my sister, because she actually managed to answer the question. And happy birthday!

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

October Dashbox

Sunday, October 26, 2014 Sara Wallflower 20 Comments

Hello everybody!
Dashbox is a new way of purchasing and testing of cosmetics and after ordering it, you get 4-5 cosmetics and lifestyle samples. So before buying the whole product, you get to try it. I ordered an October Dashbox, which I want to share with you.

Aroma Herbal
This body oil has the scent of grapefruit and mandarin and smells absolutely divine! It costs 6, 70 € and I’m thinking about also buying a lotion (8, 20 €) or shower gel (4, 96 €).

Eye Majic
I got this full sized instant eye shadow, which I’m not sure I’ll use, because let’s face it- it’s all faster with fingers. Set of 5 products cost 4 €.

L’erbolario
I got 3 samples of shampoos and 1 sample of perfume, which I’m quite excited to use. Full sized products cost between 10 and 25 €.

Anaya
Since I have problematic skin, this skin regenerating cream seems perfect for me. I’m probably going to buy the full sized product (15, 56 €), after I test the sample.

Payot
I’ve read some nice reviews about this energy face cream so I can’t wait to use it. You can buy it for 31, 96 €.

In overall I’m a bit disappointed in products (I admit, I was expecting a nail polish), so I’m still thinking about ordering a November Dashbox. It’s definitely worth it’s price (10 €), as you get to test 5 different products and then decide if you want to buy it or not.

In October my blog Sara Wallflower reached 200 followers on Bloglovin’! To me that seems an enormous number and I’m not even sure, why so many of you actually read my blog! So in November (Fallflower) I’m going to write only posts you want me to. Would you like me to write more DIY’s, reviews, hauls, thoughts, maybe my first OOTD or anything else? Tell me in the comments and again a big thank you to all my readers!

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

Wreck This Journal

Tuesday, October 14, 2014 Sara Wallflower 26 Comments

Hello everybody!

I got my Wreck This Journal around 6 months ago and even though I still haven’t finished all the tasks, I wanted to share some of my favourite pages with you. I’m not the most artistic person, so my journal is quite wrecked. But I guess that this journal is my way to express feelings, thoughts and sudden attacks of art.

Crack the spine.

Pour, spill, drip, spit, fling your coffee here.

Chew on this.

Float this page.

Write or draw with your left hand.

Collect dead bugs here.

Climb up high, drop the journal.

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!

September Favourites

Sunday, October 05, 2014 Sara Wallflower 32 Comments

Hello everybody!

I don’t know why, but I always get excited when I realise that the month has almost ended. I just can’t wait to write about my monthly favourites, even though I’m sometimes not sure which products were my favourite in a certain month. Here are my favourite beauty/ fashion/ random products and books I’ve been loving through September!

Maybelline New York Baby: Baby Lips

I bought Baby Lips lip balm in July, but I didn’t use it so much in the summer. But recently I’ve used it quite a lot, it's always in my schoolbag. I really like that it makes my lips so soft. I expected that it’d last a bit longer, because even if I don’t drink or eat, I have to apply it again after a short time. I still love using it.

Essence Eyeshadow: Strawberry Ice Cream Shimmer Effect

I got this eyeshadow for my birthday from my friend and I’ve used it a lot ever since then. I really love the shade; it’s a light pink with shimmer effect, so it’s perfect for school. I usually just use this eyeshadow and mascara and I’m ready to go.

Red Nail Polish

I’m not a big fan of the autumn and all those autumn colours, they just seem so boring to me. But I quite like this random red nail polish. I got it with some other nail polishes, also in darker shades. I like the shade of this nail polish as it is not too dark, but it’s still quite suitable for autumn.

Afrodita Cosmetics: Young & Pure Deep Cleansing Antibacterial Effect

I often use products from Afrodita Cosmetics, but I’ve never used any cleansing gels from this brand. As I have quite problematic skin, I’ve used loads and loads of products. So I thought I’d give this one a try. It’s cleansing gel+ peeling+ mask for normal to oily skin, 3 effects in one product. I don't see any changes yet, but I've been only using it since mid-September, so I guess I'll just have to wait.

Licitar Heart

Licitars are colourfully decorated biscuits made of sweet honey dough that are a traditional symbol of Zagreb, Croatia. My mother bought me one when she went to Zagreb last week. I think licitar heart is a really lovely gift and I keep mine on the board next to my desk in my room, so I can look at it anytime.

The Vampire Diaries: L. J. Smith

Lately I’ve been obsessed with The Vampire Diaries, the television series and the book series. I know I’m a bit behind with this, but when the whole “vampire obsession” lasted, I just hated vampires. So I started reading the series of novels created by L. J. Smith in the summer and at the moment I’m reading The Return: Shadow Souls. I’m not even sure why I like The Vampire Diaries so much, but I guess the story of Elena Gilbert and two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore is just so exciting.

What products did you love using in September and would recommend buying them?

I hope you enjoy reading blog from another teenager!
